Xbox Marketing Director Leaves Microsoft Amid Ongoing Company Restructuring image

In the latest corporate shuffle, Microsoft's stalwart of Xbox marketing, heads out leaving room for a reshuffle in the department.

Jerret West, the face behind Xbox Series console marketing for the last five years, is stepping away from Microsoft to take on a similar role at Roblox.

The tech giant Microsoft is currently undergoing a marketing department reformatting, with plans to introduce a new expanded team. That team will be led by Kirsten Word, and their responsibility will be the entire gaming division.

Simultaneously, the Xbox marketing department will be repositioned closer to the game development teams under the stewardship of Chris Lee. This move will result in Lee being directly responsible to the Xbox President, Sarah Bond.

These changes come as part of an overall restructuring process at Microsoft aimed at positioning it for continued success in the competitive gaming industry.
