Xbox Brings Back Friend Requests
Old feature, new life.
Microsoft is reviving the friend request feature for Xbox, originally seen in the Xbox 360 era. Currently, it is available to Alpha Skip-Ahead testers.
Players can now send, accept, or delete friend requests. The existing friends and followers will automatically update with these changes. Following someone will still keep players up-to-date on their activity.
Additionally, there are new privacy settings and notification preferences, allowing users to control who can send them friend requests or follow their account, as well as which notifications they wish to receive.
