Tips for New Outlaws Players: Essential Advice from a Week-Long Gamer
Spoilers Ahead
Are you new to Outlaws? Here are some crucial tips to get you started:
Reputation Management: Don’t stress too much about your reputation. Finish a few contracts, and you'll boost it in no time. Sneak in and out unnoticed to maintain your standing. Rewards for maxing out faction favor are worth it, so look up these rewards and plan accordingly.
Earning Credits: Playing Sabacc is a decent way to earn credits, especially with high-stakes tables. Use save-scumming to keep your game buy-in and winnings. Just avoid tables in crime family territories as they don’t allow saving.
Fathier Races: These are a safer and quicker way to earn currency. The race outcomes are predetermined, so you can save your game, pick randomly, learn the result, and reload until you win. Move fast to catch race info found in the open world.
Speeder Races: Participate whenever you can. Winning three races unlocks a useful ability, revealed only upon meeting the expert.
Street Food Events: Each planet hosts one, and participating grants a small but handy upgrade for Nyx.
Dealing with Big Enemies: Some require a shock prod upgrade and must be attacked by Nyx first for a stealth takedown. Droids can’t be taken out with grappling without Nyx.
Weapon Choice: Use the right weapon for the right enemy. Shields and droids need an ion module for effective damage.
Navigation and Shopping: Use the navigator on the map (Z on keyboard, L2/LT on controller) to switch planets, locate necessary vendors, or quickly browse available info and opportunities.
Remember, while playing, prioritize these tips to streamline your journey in Outlaws.
