The game, which was released in September 2023, had already sold 3 million copies by early 2024. While this marks a significant achievement, it still falls short compared to Mortal Kombat 11, which became the best-selling installment in the series with 15 million copies sold. Boon hinted at exciting developments ahead, expressing the team’s enthusiasm for future DLC expansions.
