Epic shakes up Fortnite
Epic Games has changed an earlier promise regarding Fortnite’s Battle Pass items, originally meant to remain exclusive. Items will now appear in the game’s store after an 18-month wait. Previously, Epic had faced criticism for breaching this rule, notably releasing a summer version of the Drift character from Season 5 for purchase in 2019. This practice of offering paid versions of past Battle Pass characters has become widespread. Going forward, new Battle Pass skins will become available in the store after 18 months, with many being collaborative skins.
