Avowed in a Pickle?
Avowed, the highly anticipated RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, could be facing significant delays. Recently, the game's community hub page disappeared from Steam, although a post from Obsidian later claimed a release set for February 18th.
Well-known insider Grummz expressed concerns, expecting a substantial postponement. Another insider, Ian Miles Cheong, known as stillgray, shared that the game might be reworked or scrapped in its current state. He indicated that Avowed has already undergone multiple rewrites, and its scope has been scaled down significantly.
Speculation has arisen that the release announcement by Obsidian was merely automated and not a true confirmation of the February launch. Furthermore, Avowed isn't on the list for the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct showcase on January 23rd, casting more doubt on its imminent release.
