A technical hitch or a business deal? Xbox users tackle the mystery behind the absence of a popular game.

In a recent turn of events, Xbox enthusiasts are expressing dissatisfaction over not being able to play the much-loved Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classic on their consoles. The popular belief was that the game's exclusion was a result of a big-money exclusive deal struck between game giant Capcom, Sony and Nintendo.

However, the truth behind the mystery is a tad bit more technical. The game was developed on a game engine known as MT Framework, which has no support available on Xbox consoles beginning from Xbox One. Because of this limitation, not only Marvel vs Capcom but several other games like Megaman, The Great Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter Stories, among others, continue to be absent from the Xbox line-up.

In a similar vein, PlayStation 5 also does not support the MT Framework engine, causing these games to only be released on PlayStation 4. Interestingly, PS4's backward compatibility feature allows these games to function on PlayStation 5.

Capcom, the game-origin company, has so far refrained from commenting on this situation. Xbox users are calling out to Microsoft to address the scenario and possibly dedicate a team of engineers to solve this problem.

There are whispers within the gaming community suggesting that Microsoft should consider collaborating with Capcom to find a solution to this tech bump so that Xbox users can, sooner than later, join in on the Gaming fun.
